Pernilla Nina Elisabet Wahlgren-Bauer, formerly known as Wahlgren Ingrosso, was born on December 24, 1967, in Gustavsberg, Stockholm County. She is a Swedish singer, actress, TV host, and fashion designer.

She primarily sings pop, musical theater, and schlager music.

Pernilla Wahlgren has released several albums since her first one, Pernilla Wahlgren (1985), and she has participated in Melodifestivalen multiple times. During the latter half of the 1980s, she went on summer tours and recorded albums. Notable songs from that time include “Svindlande affärer” and “I Need Your Love.”  In Melodifestivalen 1985, she finished in fourth place with “Piccadilly Circus,” a song that has since become a companion throughout her singing career.
